Academy First Team edged out in Elimination Final
The PGFC Academy First Team's 2021 NPL WA campaign came to an end at the Elimination Final stage on Tuesday evening as they were edged out 2-1 by Floreat Athena at E&D Litis Stadium. Having fallen behind in the 13th minute when a low shot from Sean McManus was deflected into his own net by the luckless Aidan Coyne, Glory found themselves 2-0 down early in the second half after Robert Harding drilled home via the underside of the bar.

In-form midfielder makes Glory W-League return
Perth Glory is delighted to confirm that midfielder Sadie Lawrence has signed with the club for the W-League 2021/22 Season. The 28-year-old returns to the Glory fold having previously made 17 W-League appearances in the famous purple between 2009 and 2012. With ten goals from 21 games for Murdoch University Melville FC, Lawrence has been in stellar form in the NPLW WA this season and the former Australia Under-20s representative is now hugely excited at the prospect of re-igniting her W-League career.

PGFC Academy First Team Head Coach Ruben Zadkovich believes his young side are the underdogs heading into Tuesday evening's Elimination Final against Floreat Athena at E&D Litis Stadium (kick-off at 3pm), but is still backing them to produce another impressive performance. Glory came through a tough examination at the hands of Sorrento FC in Saturday's Major Semi-Final, eventually running out 3-1 winners in extra-time.

Strong finish sees PGFC Academy First Team progress in Top Four Cup
The PGFC Academy First Team are just one game away from a Top Four Cup Final appearance after securing a 3-1 extra-time victory over Sorrento in Saturday's Major Semi-Final clash at Percy Doyle Reserve. Ruben Zadkovich's side found themselves trailing in the first-half to a Chris Jackson goal, but hit back shortly before the break when Josh Anasmo found the net from close range. A goalless second half meant extra-time was required and Glory quickly too control in the opening period, Charlie Leech heading them in front and Adam Zimarino making it 3-1 eight minutes later.

The visitors will head to the northern suburbs buoyed by an impressive display against Inglewood United last time out, Colli bagging the final goal in an emphatic 5-1 victory which clinched Glory's spot in the Top Four Cup.

Academy First Team clinch Top Four Cup spot in style
The PGFC Academy First Team secured a place in the NPL WA Top Four Cup in fine style on Saturday, Chris Donnell, Ciaran Bramwell, Charlie Leech, Josh Anasmo and Giordano Colli all finding the net in a thumping 5-1 win over Inglewood United at Crazy Domains Stadium, Hartfield Park. Glory's final game of the regular season had threatened to be a tense affair, with Ruben Zadkovich's side needing a point to clinch fourth spot and the visitors knowing that a win would see them pip the hosts and claim the final Cup berth for themselves.
