OK, we don’t exactly have a storied shared past with the Bulls given that this is only their second season in the ISUZU UTE A-League, but are there still some facts, figures and nuggets of trivia you need to know ahead of the Australia Day showdown at Campbelltown Stadium?
Of course!
Unbeaten Bulls
Glory will be searching for a maiden win over the Bulls having lost 2-0 in last season’s first ever meeting between the two sides and then securing a 1-1 draw in the return clash at HBF Park.
Ante Milicic’s side will be out to secure a fifth win in six games on Wednesday which would move them back to the top of the A-League table.
100% Percenters
Darryl Lachman and Bruno Fornaroli are the only two Glory players to have started every game so far this season.
Fornaroli has scored against every club currently competing in the A-League with the exception of Macarthur FC.
Familiar Faces
Former Glory duo Daniel De Silva and James Meredith are expected to start for the Bulls on Wednesday evening.
De Silva has scored twice in 11 appearances against his former club.
Keeper Clash
Saturday will see the two goalkeepers with the highest save percentage in the competition going head-to-head.
Macarthur FC’s Filip Kurto leads the way with 100%, while Glory’s Cameron Cook is on 90%.
Cross King Craig
The Bulls’ Craig Noone has delivered the second-highest number of crosses in the A-League so far this term with 57.
The former Cardiff City man, however, is yet to find the net since completing his move from Melbourne City at the end of last season.
Sharp Shooters
Glory currently boast the joint-highest goals to shots ratio in the league along with Melbourne Victory.
Both clubs are currently on 0.12, while Macarthur’s record of 0.08 sees them sitting fifth in this category.
