Brendon Santalab led the way with a hat-trick as Glory swept to a resounding 7-0 victory in Thursday night’s friendly against Inglewood United.
Fabio Ferreira (2), Diego Castro and Chris Harold also found the net as the visitors dominated from start to finish at Perth Plasterboard Centre Stadium to equal their biggest victory of the pre-season campaign to date.
The goals started to flow as early as the fourth minute when Castro bisected the home defence and Santalab applied a composed finish, with the former Western Sydney man doubling his and Glory’s advantage soon after following an unselfish assist from Ferreira.
The Portuguese then got in on the scoring act himself by crashing home from just inside the box and shortly after the half-hour, Santalab was again teed up by Castro for his third and Glory’s fourth.
Castro claimed a deserved goal to make it 5-0 and just before the interval, Ferreira added the sixth from close-range after Santalab had lobbed home ‘keeper Alex Dunn.

Devon Spence, Harold, Jacob Italiano and Jake Brimmer were all introduced at the start of the second period and the new-look Glory enjoyed an early let-off as the usually reliable Alex Salmon somehow missed an open goal.
Normal service was soon resumed, however, as the impressive Chianese found Harold with a fine cut-back and the substitute supplied an emphatic, first-time finish.
Youngsters Nic McDonald, Jordan Abrahams, Cameron McLean and Jayden Seldon were each given their first taste of senior football as Tony Popovic deployed all of his remaining substitutes shortly after the hour-mark and Seldon immediately went close to making it 8-0, hitting the side-netting after meeting a driven cross from Harold.
Seldon then drew one final save from the overworked Dunn before the curtain was brought down on another impressive pre-season performance from Popovic’s side.
