Perth Glory is proud to announce that it has agreed a multi-year partnership with world-class player tracking and analysis provider, STATSports Group.

UK-based, STATSports list a host of powerhouse clubs among their existing clients, including Liverpool, Juventus, PSG and Arsenal, along with the England, Brazil, Germany and USA national teams.

Its FIFA-approved APEX technology records over 260 key individual and group metrics based around volume and distance, all of which are made available as live data and the cutting-edge nature of this analysis helped drive STATSports into the 2020 Sports Technology Group Power Rankings Top Ten ahead of the likes of both Nike and Apple.

The partnership with Glory will see the club receive elite GPS tracking and analysis equipment for its A-League, Westfield W-League and NPL teams, while STATSports Group will feature prominently in game day signage and on the club’s digital and social media platforms.

Glory Members and fans will also be able to purchase APEX Athlete Series, STATSports’ consumer version of the elite GPS technology.

Glory Chief Executive Officer Tony Pignata is understandably thrilled to have an organisation with STATSports Group’s outstanding pedigree on board.

“STATSports’ status as a global market leader is clearly illustrated by the calibre of clubs and teams that they are already partnered with,” he said, “and it’s a huge coup for Perth Glory to join that elite group.

“It means that our teams will have access to the very best tracking and analysis equipment currently available anywhere in the world which will be hugely beneficial as we seek to build upon the success that the club has enjoyed over the last couple of years.”

STATSports co-founder and CCO, Sean O’Connor, is similarly delighted with the addition of Glory to the company’s client roster.

“The A-League has made large strides in recent years and, as four-time Australian Premiers, Perth Glory have always been a club we’ve wanted to partner with,” he said.

“Australian football is a hotbed of development and, with our suite of technology products like iPads and smart watches, Glory will have the most cutting-edge analysis platforms to make a real difference in performance.”
