Perth Glory coach Ian Ferguson has welcomed his club’s 2012/13 Hyundai A-League draw with a smile, which will kick-off with a re-match against defending Champions Brisbane Roar at Pattersons Stadium on the October 7.

“I’m really looking forward to it,” Ferguson said.
“There are no easy games in the A-League and I’ve always said that.”
“Every game is a tough game but to get the Champions and the manner we lost the grand final I’m sure there’ll be a little bit of spice there.”
The blockbuster against the Roar will be one of most anticipated games in recent history, with the arrival of Brisbane’s Grand Final hero Besart Berisha.
“As I said before it was a tough way to lose the way we did it but we can’t dwell on it we have to move on and look to the future.
“At the end of the day he’s obviously done the best for his team, he got them the victory, and got them the penalty.
“So, if it was my player I would have been congratulating him as well,” the coach added.
The 2012/13 draw is also a lot more even for Perth Glory with less games on the road in the first half of the season.
“I’m reasonable pleased with the way the draws went.
“Last year we had a lot of games away from home and at certain times we had some road trips as well which was really bad from when we started up until Christmas.
“There are two games at most that we are away from home, and then two at home, so it sort of evens itself up.
“Another good thing I think it’s the first time in world history for the A-League that we actually get fourteen home games which is great.”
Perth Glory will also be treated to another super clash against our rivals in orange with Brisbane Roar to visit us again on Australia Day, a special day of celebration on the national calendar.
