Glory will begin their 2026 Australia Cup campaign on the road after being drawn against NPL Queensland outfit Lions FC in Monday evening’s Round of 32 draw.
Although Glory were drawn first, under the rules of the competition, Lions FC as the non-A-League side automatically host the tie.
The fixture will take place at Spencer Park, Newmarket on Tuesday 21 July with a kick-off time of 7.30pm (Local) and 5.30pm WST.
The Round of 32 clash will mark the second Cup meeting between the two sides, with Glory running out 1-0 extra-time winners en route to reaching the Final in 2015.
Chris Harold scored the all-important goal that night after Glory had been reduced to ten men with the dismissal of goalkeeper Jerrad Tyson.
Lions FC are enjoying a strong season in the Queensland NPL where they currently sit in second spot, three points behind leaders Peninsula Power having won ten of their 14 games.
They have claimed the QLD NPL Championship for the last two years on the trot and were also Premiers in 2022.
