Perth Glory can confirm that Joel Anasmo has joined K-League 1 side Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors on a short-term loan deal.
The 20-year-old will remain with Jeonbuk until the end of June with the Korean club retaining an option to extend the duration of the loan or sign the forward on a permanent basis, subject to a transfer fee being agreed.
Jeonbuk, who are currently managed by former Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur favourite Gus Poyet, are Korea’s most successful club having been crowned K-League 1 champions on nine occasions and also secured two Asian Champions League titles.
Anasmo began his football journey with Floreat Athena before joining the PGFC Academy and subsequently progressing into the club’s A-League squad.
He has made a total of 22 A-League appearances in purple and scored his one goal for the club on debut against Melbourne City in February 2024.
