Perth Glory Football Club is proud to announce it has joined forces with Healthway’s “Go for 2&5” health message as its new exclusive naming rights partner for the “Go for 2&5 Glory in the Community Program” for the Hyundai A-League 2016/17 and 2017/18 seasons.
The partnership means Perth Glory Football Club will act as proud ambassadors of the “Go for 2&5” health message, actively promoting, raising awareness and helping to educate West Australian parents about the importance and need to encourage their children to increase their daily consumption of fruit and vegetables as part of a healthy diet.
The “Go for 2&5 Glory in the Community Program” engages children aged 6-12 years in active football participation programs in over 100 WA primary schools, through local football clubs both metropolitan and regional, recreation centres, game day activations and through general community appearances and charity work.
The “Go for 2&5” health message will become synonymous with the Perth Glory’s pre-game Kids Zone activation precinct at all home games, with Healthway and “Go for 2&5” assuming the naming rights to the highly popular entertainment space which is visited by thousands of children and young families.
The relationship will also see prominent branding displayed across all Perth Glory community programs and will include “Go for 2&5 branding on community participant bibs, signage, ball kids, player mascots and development officer apparel, educational resource materials and across all Community communications- online and digital, newsletters, awards and certificates, posters and flyers.
Perth Glory Chief Executive Officer, Peter Filopoulos was delighted with the new partnership.
“We are very excited to renew our partnership with Healthway and promote the Go for 2’n’5 health message. We were really proud of our efforts previously in helping to promote the virtues of healthy living through good nutrition and an active lifestyle and to have Healthway recommit their support is significant to our club and our stakeholders”he said.
“We look forward to building further on our strong track record in this space and believe our thriving grassroots Community program provides the ideal platform to promote this very important health message. We are a club strongly focussed on growing our support amongst young families and the fit for us as a club is ideal” he added.
Healthway’s Acting Executive Director, Maree De Lacey, said: “By working together, Perth Glory and Healthway encourage young people and their families to incorporate healthy food and physical activity into their daily lives.
“Perth Glory’s community and school programs reach more than 140,000 children under 12 years of age with the Go for 2&5 healthy eating message”.
The Go for 2&5 Glory in the Community Program will be in full swing ahead of today’s match between Perth Glory and Wellington Phoenix at nib Stadium.
