世界のサッカーファンのみなさん、こんにちは！今回から始まる【パースグローリー日本語公式ページ】。 第1回目は、オーストラリアの西海岸の州都、パース（Perth）に本拠地を置く、オーストラリアサッカーリーグ（A League）のパースグローリー（Perth Glory）について、そしてパースグローリーのリチャード・ガルシア（Richard Garcia）監督のスペシャルインタビューをお届します。 まずは、チーム情報から！ ホーム: オーストラリア（Australia）の西オーストラリア州（Western Australuia）州都のパース（Perth） スタジアム: HBFスタジアム（HBF Stadium）20,500人 創設: 1995年12月 愛称: ザ・グローリー（The Glory） ホームゲーム平均来場者数: 13,705人（2018-19シーズン） 実績: グランドファイナル決勝進出2回（2011-12、2018-19）、レギュラーシーズン1位1回（2018-19）、ACL出場1回（2020）代表的な所属選手：太田宏介、Daniel Sturridgeなど ——————————————————————– 次に、パースグローリーのリチャード・ガルシア（Richard Garcia）監督に新シーズンに向けてのインタビュー！ まず、オーストラリアのAリーグの魅力は？ 「オーストラリアのライフスタイルを象徴していることです。他の国のリーグと比べて開催期間が短いので、凝縮した質の高いサッカーを観ることができます。選手にとってもフィジカル面ではコンディションを整えやすいリーグと言えるでしょう」 自身がプロチームの監督デビューだった昨シーズンを振り返って。 「難しいシーズンでした。もちろん満足はしていないし、これからも、監督として満足するシーズンは訪れないと思いますが…」 目指すチームは？昨シーズンとの違いは？ 「引き続き攻撃重視のサッカーです。昨シーズンとの違いは失点を減らすことですね」 来たるシーズンの目標は？ 「クラブにとってグランドファイナル進出が過去に2回ありましたが、まだタイトル獲得までには届いていません。なので、目指すは初タイトルですが、まずは最低限、ファイナルシリーズ進出の上位6チームに入ることです」 イングランドでプロサッカー選手のキャリアをスタートさせ、豪州代表まで経験。セカンドキャリアは、生まれ育った地元パースのプロチームでの監督。サッカー選手を目指す子どもたちにアドバイスを。 「子どもの頃からいつも一生懸命で、向上心旺盛でした。今でもそれは変わらないと思います。どうやったら上達して、その上達を続けられるかを常に考えることが大切ですね」 最後にパースという街の魅力を教えて下さい。 「サンシャイン（太陽が燦燦と照りつける陽気）、ビーチ、そしてグッド・ライフスタイルです！」 ——————————————————————– 次回（Vol.2）は、パースグローリー所属の日本人選手、太田宏介のインタビューなどをお届けします！

O’Neill and Rigby named Glory skippers for 2021/22 Season
Perth Glory is delighted to confirm that Brandon O’Neill and Natasha Rigby will captain its respective Isuzu Ute A-League Men’s and A-League Women’s teams during the 2021/22 Season. Midfielder O’Neill will wear the Glory armband for the first time having returned for a second spell at his hometown club during the off-season, while fellow-West Australian Rigby will lead the club’s women into a new campaign for a third time. Both players are understandably thrilled to have been handed the captaincy role.
