Sam and co face must-win clash
Having opened her World Cup account against Italy last weekend, Glory striker Sam Kerr will be hoping to fire the Matildas to victory in their crunch clash with Brazil on Friday morning (kick off at 12am WST).
Ante Milicic’s side require three points to keep their hopes of making it to the knockout stage alive after going down 2-1 to the Azzurri in their first group game.
Their final group fixture is on Wednesday 19th June against Jamaica (kick off at 3am WST).
Cap number 35 for Spira
Glory defender Matt Spiranovic earned his 35th Socceroos cap during last week’s friendly against South Korea.
The 30-year-old came off the bench to replace Matt Jurman with 13 minutes left as Graham Arnold’s men were edged out 1-0 in Busan.
Youngsters in semi-final action
The PGFC Academy Under-20s side will be out to book a place in the Belt Up State League Reserves Cup Final this weekend when they take on Armadale in the last four at E&D Litis Stadium.
The Under-20s are currently second on the NPL ladder, while Armadale are sitting in tenth spot.
Gwelup face Cockburn in the other semi which is being played at Bayswater’s Frank Drago Reserve.
Kick-off time for the Glory game on Saturday is 12.45pm.
