Perth Glory midfielder Steven McGarry has signed a new contract to remain with Perth Glory for the 2012/13 Hyundai A-League season.
“Really pleased to have Steven on board,” Perth Glory coach Ian Ferguson said.
“Steven is a clever player and a goal scoring midfielder who made a big difference to our team when he played an attacking role.
“Retaining Steven was important and I glad we-ve been able to hold onto him.”
Likewise, McGarry said he was happy to play a third full season for Perth Glory after joining the club in January 2010.
“I am delighted to sign a contract extension,” McGarry said.
“It-s great to be involved in a club that had such a great end to the season.
“The possible prospect of playing in the Asian Champions League is exciting and a big step forward for the club.
“My preference was always to stay with Perth Glory in a city that has made me and my family extremely welcome.
McGarry was instrumental in Perth Glory-s championship run to the Hyundai A-League Grand Final scoring 4 goals. Moved into a more attacking midfield role – just behind the striker – the team lost just three out of the next seventeen games.
