Saturday’s showdown at nib Stadium between Perth Glory and Celtic WILL be played at the venue.
Perth Glory CEO Paul Kelly and Celtic officials today visited the ground to give the water logged surface the all clear.
“It’s still a bit soft but the thing is we’re going to have to play there,” Kelly said.
“We’re going to play at the stadium. It will be a little soft underfoot but I have every faith that today and tomorrow it will harden up.
“I’m very confident that there won’t be any risk to players.
“I’m quite happy being there today that the contours will be different given that 48 hours ago, I looked at it and said this is unplayable. I have no choice at the moment.
“Simply we are going to have to play the game there. We’ve just got to get it to the best possible standard that we can get it too.”
Neither side will get the chance to train nib before the match with Perth Glory to finalise their preparations at McGillivray Oval and Celtic at the WACA Ground. Celtic-s 11am session is open to the media and fans.
Kick-off on Saturday is 5pm.
