Former favourite Doeglas returns to Glory ALW squad

Perth Glory is delighted to confirm that experienced forward Caitlin Doeglas has joined the club’s ALW squad as an injury replacement for Kelli Brown.

The 28-year-old makes a welcome return to the club having chalked up 49 appearances and scored seven goals in the famous purple between 2015 and 2021.

Doeglas scored what was, at the time, the fastest goal in ALW history when she found the net after just 14 seconds against Western Sydney Wanderers during the 2016-17 season and also featured for Glory in the 2019 ALW Grand Final.

Last year, the Perth local scored 17 goals for Perth RedStar in the NPLW WA and Head Coach Stephen Peters has no doubt that she will be a significant addition for Glory both on and off the pitch.

“Caitlin has been training with us for a number of weeks and has made a big impression,” he said.

“She’s mobile, quick and can finish and she also brings that invaluable experience from her previous stint in the ALW.

“As well as being a quality player, she is a great character and will be a really positive influence on our predominantly young playing group.”

Doeglas is eligible for tonight’s clash with Sydney FC at the Sam Kerr Football Centre.

Kick-off is at 6:45pm, tickets are available HERE.
