It-s set to be a record breaking day on Sunday for Perth Glory-s away clash against Sydney FC and their mega-star Alessandro Del Piero.

The game ANZ Stadium, the venue made famous during the Sydney Olympics is expected to draw a massive crowd for the mouth-watering clash.

Del Piero has created world-wide headlines since his arrival from Juventus but Perth Glory defender Steve Pantelidis says his team-s focus won-t be distracted by the presence of the Italian champion.

“I’ve seen him and he’s been brilliant,” Pantelidis said.

“He’s probably carried them somewhat and he’s deserving of his marquee status.

“Hopefully we can keep him quiet this weekend.

“My first game was against Dwight Yorke in the first year of the A-league and he scored against me.

“So if I’m lucky enough to play and I’m marking Alessandro, hopefully he doesn’t score.

“But if we focus too much on him, they’ll probably get the better of us.”
After three rounds this season, Perth Glory is currently equal first on the Hyundai A-League table with six points.
