Alana Murphy’s stoppage-time strike denied Glory a deserved share of the spoils as Melbourne Victory ran out 1-0 winners in Sunday’s Ninja A-League Round 5 clash.

The women in purple more than held their own against the high-flying visitors in what was the first ALW fixture ever played at the Sam Kerr Football Centre.
The game was also a significant one for Glory ‘keeper Casey Dumont as she became the first goalkeeper in ALW history to reach 150 appearances.
And the 32-year-old looked set to mark the milestone in style as she saved a second-half penalty from Rachel Lowe, only to have her clean sheet snatched away right at the death by Murphy’s long-range effort which flashed its way in through a crowded box.
Chances were at a premium before the break, with neither ‘keeper seriously tested and it was not until Dumont’s 68th-minute penalty save that the game burst into life.
Onyi Zogg looked to have been hard done by when she was penalised for handball from a corner and justice was served as Dumont blocked Lowe’s resulting spot-kick low to her right.
Glory sought to capitalise on that let-off and pushed Victory back in the final quarter, roared on by a vocal home crowd.
But when the all-important goal did finally arrive, it came at the other end.
The clock had just ticked past the 90-minute mark when the ball fell for Murphy some 30m out and she rifled a shot past the unsighted Dumont to seal all three points for the visitors.
