Coming Up
All three of our sides are in action over this weekend, with the Westfield W-Leaguers first out of the blocks when they tackle Western Sydney Wanderers at Marconi Stadium on Friday (kick off at 1.30pm WST).
Sam Kerr and Raquel Rodriguez will both return from international duty with the Matildas and Costa Rica respectively and Nikki Stanton could also feature after recovering from a broken arm.
The Foxtel Youth League team are the next in action, hosting Brisbane Roar at Dorrien Gardens on Sunday (kick off at 10.30am) and then the weekend is rounded off in Gosford where our Hyundai A-League side will look to build upon last week’s fine win over Melbourne City at the expense of Central Coast Mariners.
We did, of course, account for Paul Okon’s side in Round 3, with Andy Keogh and Adam Taggart both finding the net.
Start time at Central Coast Stadium is 2pm (WST).
Flying high
Glory’s Westfield W-League membership is now the second-highest in the country behind Canberra United, while our average home Hyundai A-League crowd of 12,260 places us third behind Melbourne Victory and Sydney FC.
We have also passed the 8000-mark for A-League members as of today which, combined with our current crowd figures, means that we are bang on track to reach our target of 10,000 members and an average home attendance of 12,500 within the duration of our four-year strategic plan.

On the mend
There is plenty of good news coming out of the Glory treatment room, with the majority of the club’s walking wounded closing in on a return to full fitness.
Daniel Stynes and Joel Chianese have now resumed training as they continue to recover from their respective hamstring and collar bone injuries, while Spanish duo Andreu and Diego Castro are both expected to come into contention for our Round 10 clash with Newcastle on December 9th.
Adam Taggart may also be a chance for that game as he is making strong progress in his recovery from a hamstring tear and Scott Neville is working similarly hard as he looks to get back into full training.
Marc Warren, meanwhile, has now shed his moon-boot and resumed light running with a view to being back in action early in the New Year.
Accolade accumulator
Sam Kerr could well be honoured yet again tonight at the AFC Annual Awards where she is hotly tipped be named the Women’s Player of the Year.
Glory’s skipper has enjoyed a remarkable 12 months in the W-League, the NWSL with Sky Blue FC and internationally as part of the Matildas side and has already taken out a string of individual awards including West Australian Young Australian of the Year and Women’s Health Sportswoman of the Year.
After the awards ceremony in Bangkok, the 24-year-old will fly directly to Sydney to meet up with her Glory teammates ahead of the clash with Western Sydney.
Nearly all m-over
Most of the Glory players and staff who participated in this year’s Movember are, quite literally, itching to get rid of their facial hair.
Some have ended up looking like Merv Hughes, others, well, less so, but you can make your own judgement from the photo montages we are running on our social channels this week.
