The game failed to really spurn into life until the final few minutes but either side could make the all important breakthrough.
Kenny Lowe was impressed with the courage that the side showed after a turbulent period.
“I enjoyed myself actually and I-m proud of my players to be truthful. I think for them to show the character and the attitude after what-s gone on. They worked ever so hard and even though the quality may not have been the best, they-ve been top class all week after a very difficult one.”
The first half started quite slowly and it wasn-t until the 22nd minute that an attack of note was created. Marcelo Carrusca was one of Adelaide United-s most dangerous players and he forced Danny Vukovic into a strong save as he hit a long-range effort towards goal.
Carrusca then had one of the best opportunities of the game as some neat build-up play fell to the United player but he failed to make a connection.
Adelaide continued to threaten and Vukovic was called into question once again but he comfortably dealt with Jeronimo Neumann-s strike from a tight angle.

Adelaide continued to set the pace of the game without taking the advantage as Jeronimo continued to be the side-s most potent threat but his strikes in a matter of minutes glided over the bar.
Even though Glory were failing to convert their chances, the opportunities were arising and a Steven McGarry corner on the hour mark which bounced in the six yard box really should have been met by a player in purple but the ball was dealt with by Adelaide.
It was then the turn of Glory captain Jacob Burns to halt an advancing Adelaide attack as he made a last-ditch challenge to stop Carrusca from shooting at goal.
Michael Thwaite then decided to venture forward with the ball at his feet but his long-range effort went harmlessly over the bar.
The best moment of the match from Glory came on the 78th minute when some slick build-up play by the Perth side saw Sidnei Sciola have an opportunity to strike at goal but Eugene Galekovic comfortably held the Brazilian-s effort.
The final chance of the game fell to Adelaide substitute Jake Barker-Daish and forced Vukovic to parry his effort but the Glory number one collected the ball at the second attempt and gave Kenny Lowe a solid start in his first game in the hot seat.
