Three of the goals arrived inside the opening half-an-hour at HBF Park, Kucharski getting the ball rolling, before Kuzamba opened his senior account for the club and Colakovski fired in the third.
Adelaide rallied slightly in the second half without ever really looking likely to force their way back into the game and Adam Griffiths’ men were able to add further gloss to the scoreline five minutes from time courtesy of a well-taken header from substitute Ellis.
The win, Glory’s largest in almost four years, was hugely appreciated by the home faithful who produced a spectacular 30-year anniversary tifo ahead of kick-off and celebrated with gusto at the end.
Glory’s total dominance of the first half began 16 minutes in when Kucharski marked his first start of the season by taking full advantage of some slack defending to clip a low shot past Joshua Smits in the Adelaide goal.
The 24-year-old then turned provider for Glory’s second just four minutes later, linking up superbly with Kuzamba who raced in on goal and slid the ball into the far corner to add a third goal to the two he bagged against the Reds in pre-season.
Brimming with confidence, Glory continued to torment the Adelaide defence relentlessly and were rewarded again just after the half-hour mark.
This time the goal came from a set-piece, Cher Deng challenging Smits as he attempted to punch away a Tom Lawrence corner and Colakovski forcing home the loose ball from close range.
The Reds inevitably enjoyed plenty of possession and territory in the second half as they desperately tried to find a way back into the contest, but they rarely troubled a resolute home backline.
And when they did finally find a way through, debutant ‘keeper Daniel Solsky managed to block Ajak Riak’s header on the line.
Glory, in contrast, never stopped looking dangerous going forward and finally managed to add the fourth goal their performance warranted right at the death.
Lucas Scicluna sent Sebastian Kukucka scampering away down the left, he arrowed in an inviting cross and Ellis popped up at the back post to steer a header back across goal and bag his second goal in as many games.
