Perth Glory is delighted to confirm that Joel Anasmo, Kaelan Majekodunmi, Andriano Lebib, Khoa Ngo and Will Freney have all signed new contracts with the club.
19-year-old Anasmo, who made 11 Isuzu UTE A-League appearances last season and scored his maiden senior goal on debut against Melbourne City, has penned a two-year professional contract, while Kaelan Majekodunmi (20), who also gained his first taste of A-League football last year, has agreed a new two-year deal.
Defender Lebib (18), who took his A-League bow in the final fixture of last season, has agreed to a three-year deal and winger Ngo (17), who came off the bench in the last two matches of the 2023/24 campaign, has also been locked in on a two-year scholarship.
Another two-year scholarship has been handed to midfielder Freney (18) who has been in impressive form for the PGFC Academy First Team this season.
Glory Football Director Stan Lazaridis is thrilled to have locked in the gifted young quintet.
“These guys are all super-talented and hungry to make their mark in the A-League and beyond,” he said.
“Four of them have already been exposed to senior football and we are excited to see them kick on again in the coming seasons.
“As long as they continue to work hard and learn from the senior players around them, they all have very bright futures ahead of them.”
Stan on Joel Anasmo: “Joel has so much potential.
“He’s got pace to burn, he’s a leftie who likes to hug the touchline and he gives us natural width.
“He’s going to be a working project for us next season, but he’s a Glory product and he relates to the Members and fans.
“We’re confident that he’ll give us a spark again next year.”
Stan on Kaelan Majekodunmi: “We saw with Kaelan that he got blooded in last year.
“He’s probably ready to establish himself as a regular starter next season, but he has work to do on improving his game.
“There’s a lot to love about Maj; aerially, he’s incredibly strong and powerful, he’s quick and although we need to improve his footwork, overall, he’s a machine and we’re really excited that he’s staying on.”
Stan on Andriano Lebib: “Lebib is an up-and-coming centre-half who will definitely benefit from training and playing alongside some of the other defenders that we’ve brought in.
“As a local lad who came through the Academy pathway, I believe he’s one of those players that the Members and fans will really get behind once he’s been given an opportunity.
“He’s definitely a very exciting prospect for us and I’m sure he will develop into a quality defender.”
Stan on Khoa Ngo: “Khoa is someone who will puts bums on seats.
“He’s a little excitement machine, he’s very likeable as a character, he’s brave and strong and he’s not afraid to take players on.
“He can play on either wing or up front off a striker and is definitely someone who is going to excite the Members and fans.
“Khoa is another one who came through our Academy, we’re delighted he’s signed and we expect him to see some game time this season.”
Stan on Will Freney: “Will is that defensive midfielder who’s the rascal of the pack.
“He gets in amongst it, he’s fearless and he’s also clever with the ball.
“He gives you that bite and offers us something different that the squad doesn’t have.”

Contract negotiations are ongoing with a number of other first-team squad members and further announcements will be made shortly, along with details of new player signings.
