The fully-booked Girls’ Clinic will provide a unique opportunity for girls and coaches from the City of Cockburn area to meet and train with the state’s elite professional players and staff and Glory CEO Anthony Radich believes it is a very exciting development for all the parties involved.

“We’re really looking forward to the event,” he said, “and would like to thank both the City of Cockburn  and Cockburn City FC for their fantastic support.

“With Beale Park now the training base for our A-League Women, the club is very keen to give something back to the local community and help to further grow women’s football which is experiencing a massive boom in participation numbers.”

Those sentiments were echoed by City of Cockburn Mayor, Logan K. Howlett.

“The City of Cockburn is excited to support Perth Glory as it presents this free girls’ soccer clinic at Beale Park in Spearwood,” he said.

“The event will give more than 100 aspiring young local players the opportunity to learn from Perth Glory’s talented Liberty A-League Women’s Team.

“The City has provided a sponsorship to Perth Glory to run the free clinics to benefit aspiring local junior players and some of Cockburn’s hard-working soccer coaches.

“This sponsorship forms part of approximately $1.45m in grants, donations and sponsorships which the council will provide from its Cockburn Community Fund to support a variety of local projects, activities and opportunities for our residents in 2022/23.”

We look forward to seeing you at Beale Park on Friday 27 January!
