Saturday will mark the eighth overall meeting between Glory and Western United, with the green-and-blacks having claimed maximum points on five occasions.
Only one of the eight fixture has taken place in WA, however and that was won 3-0 by Glory in May 2021, with Bruno Fornaroli, Chris Ikonomidis and Joel Chianese the scorers.
The top two goalscorers in this fixture are both from Western United – Dylan Pierias has bagged four and Lachlan Wales three.
The duo are expected to be included in the visitors’ squad this weekend.
Six players have featured in all five of Glory’s A-League games so far this season – Darryl Lachman, Mark Beevers, Ryan Williams, Liam Reddy, Salim Khelifi and Zach Duncan.
Of those, Lachman, Beevers and Reddy have played every minute of every game.
Salim Khelifi (8) and Ben Azubel (7) have taken the most shots for Glory so far this term, with each hitting the target twice.
Aaron McEneff is next on the list with six shots, three of which have found the mark.
Three former Glory players are likely to feature for Western United on Saturday in the form of Josh Risdon, Neil Kilkenny and Jacob Tratt.
Western’s marquee man, Alessandro Diamanti, has failed to score in five appearances against Glory.
The Italian has picked up two yellow cards in these games.
Between them, respective Glory and Western United ‘keepers Liam Reddy and Jamie Young have made 526 A-League appearances and kept 135 clean sheets.
Ryan Williams is Glory’s most fouled player so far this season having been unfairly challenged on 13 occasions.
Western United skipper Josh Risdon, meanwhile, leads the league in terms of fouls committed with 20.
