Though born in Albury, NSW, Meredith had spent his entire career playing in the UK and Ireland prior to joining Glory in 2019. The left-sided defender started out at Derby County and gained further experience courtesy of loan moves to both Cambridge United and Chesterfield. A switch to League of Ireland outfit Sligo Rovers followed, before Meredith returned to the UK where he would spend the next 11 years playing for the likes of Shrewsbury Town, York City (131 appearances), Bradford City (181 appearances) and Millwall (82 appearances). He helped York City to win promotion into the Football League as well as the FA Trophy and was a part of the Bradford City that won the League Two Play-Off Final in 2013. At international, meanwhile, the 31-year-old has won two senior caps for Australia and featured in the Socceroos squad at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
