Zimarino pens new deal with hometown club

Perth Glory is delighted to confirm that striker Adam Zimarino has signed a new, two-year deal with the club.

The 22-year-old made 16 ISUZU UTE A-League appearances last season and bagged his maiden senior goals in back-to-back games against Sydney FC and Adelaide United.

Having impressed for the PGFC Academy First Team at NPL WA level, the Perth local was handed his A-League debut in February 2022 and duly featured on a further six occasions over the course of the 21/22 campaign.

Glory Head of Recruitment, Andy Keogh, is confident that Zimarino will continue his development in the coming seasons.

“Zimmers has done exceptionally well since the turn of the year,” he said, “contributing to the team and he was unlucky not to have scored more goals.

“I feel he is now ready to challenge the starting players and I’m confident he will score goals for Glory.

“This extension is a just reward for him.”

Glory CEO Anthony Radich, meanwhile, is thrilled that another young Western Australian has been given the opportunity to continue representing his hometown club at A-League level.

“Adam and his family have a long and deep connection to Perth Glory and the club means a huge amount to them,” he said.

“The club is committed to developing and backing WA talent and Adam has shown that he has the ability to become a regular goalscorer and a key part of the squad going forward.

“It is fantastic to have him on board for a further two years and I’m sure our Members and fans will enjoy watching another local player making his mark in the A-League.”

Further squad announcements will be made shortly.
