Glory will be seeking their first win of the Foxtel Youth League campaign when they welcome Melbourne Victory to Dorrien Gardens on Sunday (kick-off at 10.30am, admission FREE).
And the youngsters will also be out for revenge after suffering an unfortunate defeat at the hands of the navy-and-whites in last month’s meeting at AAMI Park.
Gabriel Popovic’s penalty gave Glory the lead in that game before Birkan Kirdar and William Wilson hit back for the hosts, but Richard Garcia’s side certainly did not deserve to leave the Victorian capital empty-handed.
Victory are currently second on the Conference A table having picked up nine points from their four games, while Glory could move up to fourth if they were to snare the three points.
Last season’s corresponding fixture, meanwhile, went the way of the WA side, Daniel Stynes and Henry Hore both finding the net in an impressive 2-0 triumph.
Sunday marks Glory’s penultimate home game of the FYL season, with the final fixture at Dorrien Gardens taking place on Sunday 26 January when Melbourne City will provide the opposition.
Do get along to lend the lads your support if you can!
