Youngsters seek return to form at Floreat

The PGFC Academy First Team will be targeting a return to winning ways when they take on Floreat Athena at E&D Litis Stadium on Saturday (kick-off at 3pm).

The youngsters have come off second best in each of their last two outings, but a congested table means that they still remain in the mix for a Finals place.

Athena, meanwhile, sit in second spot, one point behind leaders Perth RedStar having won eight of their 13 games to date this term.

One of those victories came against Glory in Round 3, although the controversial dismissal of home skipper Jacob Muir within the opening seven minutes was a major factor in the outcome.

Ahead of the First Team game, the Academy Under-20s will be out to maintain their 100% league record and bounce back from a State Reserves Cup Semi-Final defeat at the hands of Sorrento FC in midweek.

The Under-18s also continue to dominate their competition, still unbeaten after 13 games in which they have secured 11 wins and scored 56 goals.

In addition, they have progressed to the Semi-Finals of the State U18 Cup in which they will take on Murdoch University Melville FC at Besteam Stadium (Murdoch Uni Synthetic) on Tuesday 5 July at 7.30pm.

Do get along and support the youngsters on Saturday if you can!
