Perth Glory is delighted to confirm that Jake Brimmer has re-signed with the club.
The 20-year-old, who has made 33 Hyundai A-League appearances since joining Glory in 2017, has put pen to paper on a two-year deal.
Brimmer, who has represented Australia at Under-17, Under-20 and Under-23 level, is excited at the prospect of extending his time here in the West.
“I’m very pleased to have re-signed and it was an easy decision to make,” he said.
“I’ve improved under the manager (Tony Popovic) this year and am really looking forward to another two seasons with Glory.
“The club has taken major steps forward this year and the future looks extremely bright.”
Glory Football Director Jacob Burns believes that Brimmer is a genuine talent and definitely one to watch.
“Jake is an exciting young player with a very bright future in the game,” he said.
“He is continuing to grow and improve under the guidance of Tony Popovic and the rest of our coaching staff and being given opportunities in terms of game minutes.
“It’s fantastic to see him taking advantage of those opportunities by making an impact during those game minutes.”
Glory CEO Tony Pignata, meanwhile, revealed that the club beat off stiff competition to secure the services of the former Liverpool youth player.
“Other teams were hovering looking to sign Jake, so we’re extremely pleased to have re-signed him,” he said.
“We look forward to him being an important player for us during the rest of the season and in the coming years.”
