Young gun Despotovski signs two-year deal with hometown club

Perth Glory is delighted to announce that young attacking midfielder Sebastian Despotovski has signed a new deal which extends his contract with the club until June 2028.

Now 20, the former Inglewood United and Bayswater City junior progressed through the ranks of the PGFC Academy before making his A-League debut in the final game of the 2024/25 campaign.

In 2025/26, he proceeded to establish himself as a first-team regular, opening his goalscoring account for the club with a match-winning effort against Western Sydney Wanderers in Round 7 and finishing the season with three goals and one assist from 18 appearances.

Glory Football Director Stan Lazaridis believes that Sebastian, son of Glory legend Bobby Despotovski, has a very bright future ahead of him.

“Seb is a naturally talented footballer who can influence the game from a number of positions,” he said.

“He brings the kind of creative flair that our Members and fans love to see and it was great to see him step up and showcase his skills regularly in the A-League this season.

“Like all our young players, he still has plenty to learn, but there is no doubt in my mind that he has a very high ceiling and we’re really excited to watch his development continue over the next couple of years.”
