Good news has been pretty thin on the ground for Hunter Madden and his family since he was diagnosed with leukaemia aged only only three.
It’s fair to say that the lovable little battler, whose bravery in fighting the deadly cancer inspired Glory’s involvement in the Leukaemia Foundation’s ‘World’s Greatest Shave’ fundraiser earlier this year, has been doing it very tough indeed.
So his parents, Kate and Dave and little brother Zac, were understandably thrilled to hear that the now-five-year-old’s end of treatment date will actually be four months earlier than initially thought.
“We’ve found out that the date was miscalculated,” explained Kate, “and as a result, we’ve managed to knock four-and-a-half months off, meaning that his end date is actually January 11th 2020 rather than the middle of that year.
“He underwent another bout of chemotherapy last Friday, so he was a bit flat over the weekend, but he’s been doing pretty well and obviously we’re delighted with the news.
“Hunter has a special table dedicated to him at the Cancer Council’s ‘Kai’s Big Gold Ball’ event which is taking place at the Crown Ballroom next month and we’re all really excited about that.”
The high-profile Ball has almost sold out, but two corporate tables are still available and anyone interested in attending this hugely valuable fundraiser can find more details by clicking HERE.
And we’ll continue to keep you fully updated on Hunter’s progress.
