Perth Glory Women will be playing for a spot in the 2012/13 Westfield W-League Grand Final when they take on Melbourne Victory this Sunday at nib Stadium.
Perth Glory Women will be playing for a spot in the 2012/13 Westfield W-League Grand Final when they take on Melbourne Victory this Sunday at nib Stadium.
The match will be the Glory-s first appearance in the W-League finals in five attempts, and more importantly will be in front of the team-s adoring home crowd. Perth Glory has been undefeated in six matches at home this season.
After defeating Adelaide United 3-1 on Saturday, the Glory needed the Victory to slip up against Newcastle Jets to have any chance of a home semi final.
In an enthralling encounter, the Jets scored a late penalty to draw the match 3-3 and give the Glory the result they wanted.
The winner of this weekend-s semi final will then take on the winner of the Brisbane Roar and Sydney FC clash in the Grand Final on January 27.
A massive crowd is expected and fans are encouraged to make it a ‘Purple Sunday- by wearing the team-s colours at nib Stadium.
Kick-off against the Victory will be at 1.00pm Perth time.
