Perth Glory returned to winning ways with a 2-0 scoreline against Melbourne Victory in the Westfield W-League on Sunday.
A first-half Rosie Sutton goal and screamer from Vanessa DiBernardo helped Glory to its second win of the campaign and first since Round 1.
Victory goalkeeper Bethany Mason-Jones was forced into an early save, keeping out an Alyssa Mautz effort.
But Glory went ahead in the 16th minute, Sutton volleying in a cross from the right.
Victory was unlucky not to level soon after as Christine Nairn saw her 25-yard free-kick deflect onto the crossbar and bounce clear.
Natasha Dowie was the next to threaten, Melissa Maizels tipping her looping header from an Annabel Martin cross over the bar.
Sam Kerr then had two chances before the break, hitting the post from an angle before Mason-Jones denied her in a one-on-one.
Glory doubled its lead in stunning fashion in the 64th minute, DiBernardo finding the top corner from 20 yards.
Victory threatened through Nairn and Dowie but was unable to pull a goal back.
While Glory hosts Sydney FC in Round 6, Victory welcomes Western Sydney Wanderers to Lakeside Stadium on Sunday.
