Perth Glory-s Hyundai A League Goalkeeper, Danny Vukovic, will arrive back in Perth next week after agreement was reached with J League club, Vegalta Sendai, to an early release from his 5 month loan deal at the club.

Vukovic, who was due to stay with the Japanese club until August, was signed by the now Sydney FC coach, Graham Arnold, but since Arnold-s departure in early April the popular goalkeepers chances have been limited under the new coaching team and he will now be available to link up with his Glory team mates when pre-season training commences.

When asked about his time in Japan the 29 year old keeper said “Playing in Japan was an eye opening experience. I would have liked to have played a lot more and felt I had a lot to offer Vegalta Sendai. But it wasn’t to be and I felt I was better off getting back home to Perth and preparing myself for pre-season training.”

“I’m really looking forward to getting back and getting stuck into another pre-season. I’m excited at the new signings that the Club has made so far and am very confident we will be playing finals football next season. Personally I want to build on last season and have an even better year for Perth Glory.”

Vukovic who is under contract with Perth Glory for another 3 years through to the end of the 2016/17 Hyundai A-League season, was voted Players Player of the Year and the Supporters Player of the Year at the Most Glorious Player awards night held at Crown Perth in May 2014.
