Vukovic initially feared he may have done serious damage to his ankle, in Saturday-s loss to the Phoenix, when he went down early in the second half.
“It was a little bit of a scare,” Vukovic said.
“I thought it was my Achilles but it turned out to be the back of my ankle joint so it wasn-t too bad.
The star ‘keeper says he never considered coming off during the game and has
since been pleased with how his ankle has recovered.
“I trained today but didn-t feel it all.
“I-ve got it strapped up but haven-t felt it since the game.”
Forward, Travis Dodd, also completed the entire session at the club-s training headquarters this morning, another positive sign he-s recovered from a hamstring injury.
After getting through 60 minutes of action for the Youth team on Sunday, it was the first time Dodd has trained with the first team squad since tearing his hamstring against Sydney FC back on November 12.
“I-m back,” Dodd declared.
With Perth Glory currently in sixth spot on the Hyundai A-League table, the team will enter the busy, Christmas period with three of the next four games at nib Stadium”.
“It-s nice to be home,” Perth Glory defender Josh Mitchell said.
Perth Glory will play back-to-back home games against the Heart (third) and the Mariners (second) before Christmas.
