Perth Glory is delighted to announce that versatile attacking midfielder Jarrod Carluccio has joined the club from Western Sydney Wanderers on a loan deal which runs until January 2024.
The 22-year-old has spent his entire senior career to date at Wanderers having progressed through the club’s Academy system and last season he made nine A-League appearances to take his overall tally to 19.
The former Australia Under-20 international debuted for the red-and-blacks in their high-profile 2019 friendly with Leeds United, made his first A-League appearance a year later and duly opened his goalscoring account against Macarthur FC in May 2022.
He is now excited to be opening a new chapter in his career with Glory.
“I’m really keen to get in and hit the ground running,” he said.
“I’ve spoken with a few of the Glory boys and touched base with Alen Stajcic and I’m just really looking forward to gelling with the team and working under the new Head Coach.
“Success for me would be playing with a smile on my face every week, enjoying myself, trying to be out there as much as I can and helping the team as much as I can.
“Obviously the most important thing is team success and if we can build on performing well every week, results will follow.
“The squad is coming together quite nicely and I think we’re a real shout to do well this year in the league.”
Stajcic, meanwhile, believes that Carluccio could make a big impact in purple this season.
“Jarrod is a hardworking, dedicated and disciplined player who has enormous versatility and utility potential,” he said.
“He will add invaluable depth to our squad and brings a natural energy and enthusiasm.”
