Perth Glory FC can confirm that the Club’s centre half, Michael Thwaite, has been called into the Foxtel A-League All Stars squad for game against the Italian giants, Juventus on the 10th of August.
Thwaite was included as a late replacement last night, following the withdrawal of Sydney FC’s Sasa Ognenovski, due to personal reasons.
The inclusion of Thwaite in the All Stars team, where participation is a requirement under A-League regulations, comes less than 48 hours before Glory was set to fly out to face Newcastle Jets in the, Westfield FFA Cup Round of 32, on Tuesday night.
As a result of Thwaite’s call up to the All Stars squad for the match in Sydney, he will be unavailable for selection to play for Glory in the Club’s FFA Cup match.
