Taggart nominated for PFA Men’s Footballer of the Year Award

Adam Taggart could be in line to receive yet more silverware after being listed as a nominee for the 2024 PFA Men’s Footballer of the Year Award.

The Glory skipper has already scooped a host of honours this year, taking out the A-League Men’s Golden Boot as well as the club’s Most Glorious Player, Members’ Player of the Year and Players’ Player of the Year awards.

The PFA Award considers the performances of any professional playing in the A-Leagues and any Australian players plying their trade overseas between June 2023 and June 2024.

The nominees were selected by an expert panel featuring current members of the media and former professional
players.

The winner will be selected via a PFA member vote.

Taggart’s fellow-nominees include the likes of Tolgay Arslan, Josh Nisbet and Jackson Irvine and should he manage to see off their challenge, he would become the first male Glory player to claim the award since its inception in 2009.
