Perth Glory coach Ian Ferguson says the players have reacted well from their first loss of the season against the Central Coast Mariners on the weekend.
With another away game this Saturday, the squad is now in camp preparing for a showdown with the Jets in Newcastle.
“I thought our first 30 minutes against the Mariners were good,” Ferguson said.
“Once Chris Coyne came off, we lost the tempo a bit.
“We had some good half chances early as well, and if one of those goes in, it-s a different game.
“But again, I think we showed some encouraging signs and played with good intensity.”
The coach also revealed defenders Steve Pantelidis and Evan Berger unfortunately picked up injuries playing in the Youth team on Sunday.
Pantelidis has an Achilles injury and Berger a hamstring. Both players will return to Perth tomorrow for treatment and Berger will be out for 6-8 weeks.
After coming off in the first half against the Mariners with a hip injury, Coyne will face a fitness test later this week.
