Perth Glory winger Victor Sikora has undergone a minor procedure to remove a small piece of floating debris from his left knee and is confident of being fit again in time to tackle English Premier League sides Wolverhampton Wanderers and Fulham at Members Equity Stadium in July.

The former Dutch International returned to Western Australia in April for the start of Glory-s pre-season training and completed every session so far but in consultation with club medical staff he chose to have the procedure done now to ensure a pain free run throughout an extended Hyundai A-League season.

Sikora had an arthroscopic procedure on Friday and was released the same day. He is expected to be back training again in approximately three weeks.

While the 31 year old could have continued to train and play without having the procedure, the decision to clean up the joint now will ensure he is fully fit for Glory-s all important 2009/10 campaign.
