With the Piazza to screen 22 World Cup matches live, Perth Glory players and coaches will visit the site throughout the tournament hosting skill sessions, mini games and feature interviews.
“We are delighted to be part of this wonderful promotion and thrilled to be part of the Soccer Live Site 2010 for the greatest sporting event in the world,” Perth Glory Chief Executive Paul Kelly said.
Lord Mayor Lisa Scaffidi said that the partnership between the City and Perth Glory will enrich the World Cup experience at the Northbridge Piazza and give families even more reason to join in on the activities.
“I strongly encourage families to plan their visit into the Piazza and take the opportunity to meet some of Western Australia-s best soccer stars, including Robbie Fowler,” Ms Scaffidi said.
“With the completion of the Northbridge Piazza, this year is really the first year Perth can come together as a community in a family friendly open space to enjoy this event,” she said.
