Remaining Isuzu Ute A-League Men’s Fixtures Confirmed

Australian Professional Leagues (APL) have today confirmed the remaining fixtures for the Isuzu Ute A-League Men 2021/22 Season.

Glory will begin the New Year with three away games in New South Wales in the space of six days as they take on Sydney FC (Sunday 2 January), Macarthur Bulls FC (Wednesday 5 January) and Western Sydney Wanderers (Saturday 8 January), before returning to Perth for three consecutive home fixtures against Wellington Phoenix (Saturday 15 January), Newcastle Jets (date TBC) and Macarthur Bulls FC (Friday 28 January).

Two away trips are next on the agenda, to Melbourne City (Sunday 6 February) and Central Coast Mariners (Sunday 13 February) ahead of a run of six back-to-back home games running from mid-February to mid-March.

The opposition will be provided by Brisbane Roar (Friday 18 February), Melbourne City (Tuesday 22 February), Western United (Saturday 26 February), Adelaide United (Saturday 5 March), Central Coast Mariners (Saturday 12 March) and Brisbane Roar (Saturday 19 March).

Saturday 26 March will find Richard Garcia’s men in away Distance Derby action versus Wellington Phoenix and they will then return for two home games in the space of four days at the start of April as Western Sydney Wanderers (Saturday 2 April) and Melbourne Victory (Wednesday 6 April) visit HBF Park.

The run home is completed by away fixtures at Newcastle Jets (Sunday 10 April), Western United (Saturday 16 April) and a home date with Sydney FC (Saturday 30 April).

The Isuzu UTE A-League men’s season will end with four weeks of finals, under a revamped format also unveiled today.

Under the new finals format for the Isuzu UTE A-League, the team finishing third on the ladder will host the side that comes sixth, while fourth will play fifth, with both ties played as single finals.

The sides that finished first and second on the ladder will play the two qualifiers in home-and-away semi-finals over two weekends, before the Grand Final follows on the fourth weekend of the finals.

The A-League Men’s season will reach a crescendo with the Grand Final scheduled for May 28 and for the first time, this season will feature the inaugural Club Championship, a trophy awarded to the clubs with the most success across both the men’s and women’s leagues.
