Perth Glory FC coach Kenny Lowe has vowed his team will be aiming for silverware as it prepares for the dramatic clash against current Hyundai A-League leaders Melbourne Victory in the quarter final of the Westfield FFA Cup clash.

Lead in attack by the flamboyant Albanian Besart Berisha, Victory head west after a clinical 5-2 annihilation of City in the Melbourne Derby at the weekend. Berisha registered a hat-trick, taking his goal tally to four for the 2014/15 A-League season while in the cup competition the enigmatic striker also notched a hat-trick in the round of 16 against Canberra NPL outfit Tuggeranong.

Lowe said there was no doubt Victory’s attacking line-up was a force to be reckoned with.

“You’ve got to look at the firepower they’ve got in the side, they’ve got some excellent players Archie (Thompson), Berisha, (Kosta) Barbarouses, (Guilherm) Finkler they’re all quality forwards” Lowe said.

However the Perth coach has not shied away from making his intentions known about what the Cup means to the boys from the West.

“It’s massive, we want to get there, I mean we want to be in the first final it’s an inaugural competition. It’s going to be a superb spectacle and we want to be involved in it” Lowe declared.

Perth will be flying the flag for WA and will don the traditional yellow and black kit on match day.

The game is destined to be classic encounter, with Perth boasting front man Andy Keogh who so far has booted 7 goals in Cup and A-League competitions.

“I’m sure Victory will bring their best 11 we’ll try to put out our best 11 we’re really focused on it and we want to get there if we can” Lowe said.
