Put your foot down for pancreatic cancer!

When former Glory favourite Liam Miller lost his battle with pancreatic cancer last year aged just 36, it rocked everyone associated with the club.

Now is your chance to help the fight against this terrible disease.

Put Your Foot Down walks are the original nationwide walk event to raise funds and awareness for Pancreatic Cancer, held in seven national cities in Australia.

The Avner Pancreatic Cancer Foundation started the walks ten years ago as a supportive forum for people who have been affected by the disease to come together, share their experience and do something that makes a real impact.

Pancreatic Cancer does not discriminate, kills almost as many people as breast cancer each year and only 8.7% of people survive it and yet it receives little, if any, government funding.

The need for fundraising is therefore vital and if you’d like to do so as an individual or as part of a team, registrations are now open for the Perth walk which is set to take place on Sunday 31 March at Sir James Mitchell Park in South Perth.

Those just wanting to add their support to the event are also very welcome to attend, so get your Glory colours on and head along!
