PGFC Academy Latest: U18s and U20s see off Sorrento in State Cup

The PGFC Academy Under-18s and Under-20s both secured their passage through to the third round of the State Cup on Saturday as they got the better of Sorrento FC at Percy Doyle Reserve.

The 18s recorded a 2-0 victory courtesy of goals from Lucas Mura and William Ferson, while the 20s ran out 3-1 winners with efforts from Alfie Knight and Louis Sollitt, plus an own-goal, seeing them home.

The club’s junior Academy sides sides were also in action over the weekend and recorded the following results in their respective NPL WA age categories:

U-13s v Murdoch University-Melville FC L 5-1
U-14s v Murdoch University-Melville FC W 2-1
U-15s v Murdoch University-Melville FC W 4-0
U-16s v Murdoch University-Melville FC L 3-1
 
The First Team enjoyed a weekend off, but will return to action on Saturday (4th May) when they take on newly-promoted Fremantle City at Hilton Park.

The hosts currently sit two points above Glory in the early-season table having collected three wins and one draw from their six games this term.

The First Team game starts at 3pm, with the Under-18s getting the day’s action underway at 11am, followed by the Under-20s at 1pm.
