The PGFC Academy Under-18s and Under-20s continued their progress in the State Cup on Saturday as they secured respective victories over Quinns FC and Fremantle City at Hilton Park.
Louis Sollitt added to the hat-trick he claimed last weekend by grabbing no fewer than eight goals as the Under-20s downed Quinns 18-0, with Santiago Flores helping himself to five, Chulu Johnson scoring twice off the bench and Alfie Knight, William Ferson and Max Uvarov completing the rout.
The Under-18s had earlier eased home 4-0 courtesy of goals from Max Naylor (2), Hayden Thomas and Tyler Nyabinde.
Both sides will discover their quarter-final opponents later this week.
The Junior Academy sides also impressed in their most recent set of fixtures, securing a clean sweep of victories over Joondalup United:
U13s W 2-0 v Joondalup United
U14s W 3-1 v Joondalup United
U15s W 1-0 v Joondalup United
U16s W 4-0 v Joondalup United
The First Team, meanwhile, enjoyed a break at the weekend ahead of Saturday’s Regional Round clash with Perth RedStar in Geraldton.
John Walmsley’s side will take on the 2023 NPL Premiers at Wonthella Oval at 5pm, following on from an NPLW fixture between Hyundai NTC and Perth RedStar which kicks off at 3pm.
The 18s and 20s are not involved in Regional Round, with their Round 8 games against RedStar taking place at the Sam Kerr Football Centre on Wednesday 22 May (18s at 6pm, 20s at 8pm).
