The PGFC Academy First Team will face their toughest challenge of the 2025 NPL WA Night Series so far this Friday evening when they take on reigning NPL WA Champions Olympic Kingsway at Dorrien Gardens (kick-off at 6:30pm).
Joe Heath’s young side have shown plenty of promising signs in the pre-season competition to date, bouncing back from an opening round defeat against Bayswater City by downing Balcatta Etna and then battling out a 2-2 draw with Fremantle City last weekend.
Alex Bolton and Max Naylor supplied the goals against Freo as Glory opened up a 2-0 lead inside the opening half-hour before being pegged back in what was an entertaining contest at Frank Drago Reserve.
Friday’s opponents Olympic Kingsway, meanwhile, come into the game looking to maintain a 100% record in the competition thus far.
The men in green beat Fremantle City 2-0 and Bayswater City 3-1 before easing past Armadale SC 3-0 last weekend, with former Glory forward Jayden Gorman scoring two of their goals in the space of three second-half minutes.
Following the clash with Kingsway, Glory will round out the group stage by heading down to Alfred Skeet Reserve to face Armadale SC on Sunday 23 February (kick-off at 7:30pm).
Do get along and support the lads if you can!
