Perth Glory has today proudly unveiled its brand new Macron home and away kits for the 2021/22 season.
Launched to mark the club’s 25th anniversary, the striking kits represent a stylish fusion of the old and the new, featuring the original Glory badge and a 1996 embossed pattern within the fabric of the home shirt and a vibrant, contemporary teal colourway in the away strip.
Glory’s traditional orange trim is well represented on the home and away kits which will be donned by both the men and women’s teams during their respective 2021/22 campaigns and the club’s OneGlory hashtag is once again displayed on the back of the collar.
Perth Glory CEO Tony Pignata believes that with the input of Members and fans having played a crucial role in the design process, both kits will prove very popular.
“It has been a pleasure working on these kits with Macron once again,” he said, “and we are delighted with the results.
“The feedback we received last year was overwhelmingly in favour of moving away from what had become the club’s traditional away colour of white, hence the switch to teal which has emerged as a very popular colour choice with a number of leading clubs around the world this year.
“Another priority was, of course, to incorporate a celebration of our 25th anniversary into the kit design and via the inclusion of the retro badge and embossed 1996 design, we believe that has been achieved in an elegant and subtle way.
“An iconic location for the new kit photoshoot was also hugely important and the magnificent gates to The Shed at Perth Oval, the most famous stand in Australian football, provided exactly that.
“Glory’s illustrious past continues to help shape its exciting future and we are confident that our Members and fans, the bedrock of the club, will enjoy wearing these new Macron kits with pride.”
Macron Country Manager Andrea Palilla, meanwhile, was quick to highlight the ultra-modern design elements of the new kits will make them incredibly comfortable for players and Members and fans alike.
“The kit is manufactured using Macron’s softlock mesh inserts and the hi-tech M-Performance System fabric for increased comfort, breathability and moisture absorption,” he said.
“With its new silicone crest and signature Macron hero to match day comfort, the shirt is extremely lightweight, malleable and durable.
“It also includes a number of unique features such as the embossed designs on the front of both shirts and the Glory logo embossed upon the back of the home shirt.”
