The iconic logo, which adorned Glory’s shirts during many of the club’s most famous historical moments, including the 2003 and 2004 National Soccer League Grand Final victories, will feature once again this year on all A-League and W-League playing kit.
The change in badge is a celebration of Perth Glory’s unique and illustrious history and an acknowledgement of how the club’s past continues to play a key role in shaping its future.
Glory’s A-League and W-League heroes of today sharing the badge worn with such distinction and pride by those who went before them is a concept which club CEO Tony Pignata believes will resonate strongly with Members and fans of all ages.
“Glory’s rich and proud history sets it apart from every other A-League club,” he said, “and in our 25th year, it is fitting that we celebrate that history fully.
“Reverting to the original 1996 badge enables us to acknowledge not only the achievements of the past, but also the club’s development into a major feature of both the WA and national sporting landscape.
“We continue to honour the traditions and values that have made this unique football club what it is today and they guide us as we strive to secure the sustained success that our wonderfully loyal and dedicated supporters crave and deserve.”
The club will be launching its brand new Macron home and away kits featuring the 1996 badge next month.
