More success for glorious fourz

Perth Glory Football Club’s second Glorious Fourz event was a huge success, with a record number of juniors attending.

Perth Glory Football Club-s second Glorious Fourz event was a huge success, with a record number of juniors attending.

Held at Subiaco AFC-s Rosalie Park, the 4v4 small sided games initiative had plenty of football action and some outstanding performances. It was a wonderful experience for all players who dribbled, passed, scored goals and played with a smile.

Over 150 junior footballers were introduced to the 4 v 4 on two goals, as opposed to the usual one goal at each end of the field. This encourages the players to look to play in areas where there is more space, few defenders and the best chance of scoring goals!

Perth Glory FC encourages any footballer from the ages of 6 – 11 to register online and continue to support Glory in the Community.

Perth Glory-s Community Development Manager Callum Salmon was very pleased with the event and everyone who got involved.

“I was very excited to see the number and quality of participants in the Subiaco G4Z.

“The standard was very high and it was a thoroughly enjoyable morning of small sided football!”

“The coaches allowed the boys to play with no commentating during the game and an emphasis on the boys making their own decisions rather than the coaches telling them what to do,” Salmon said.

Perth Glory FC will be running more G4Z during the year so keep your eye out on the website for more details!
