Josh Mitchell says Perth Glory is ready to show their attacking qualities against Melbourne Heart on Saturday night at nib Stadium.
“Although Heart is on a roll, we-re at home, and we-ll take the game to them,” Mitchell said after today-s (Tuesday) training session.
Perth Glory-s centre half feels the team have performed well at home so far this season and will look to continue that form.
“It doesn-t feel like last season amongst the players at all.
“We have been hot and cold with results, but there have been a lot of positives that we have taken from our performances so far.
“At home I think we-re really strong, and I think we-re going to be a difficult team to play against for anyone who comes here.”
Mitchell has also backed his midfield to come out on top in Saturday-s crucial clash against the Heart, who is currently third on the table, just two points ahead of Perth Glory.
“Personally, I think our midfield works really hard,” Mitchell added.
With Liam (Miller), Burns and Hughesy in there it doesn-t matter who-s playing, as they-re all hard working players who put good pressure on the ball, so I think there-s going to be a real battle in there.”
