It’s Wednesday again and that means another round-up of all the latest news coming out of Glory HQ:
On the mend
There is good news on the injury front with Adam Taggart, Andreu and Joe Knowles all closing in on returns to full fitness.
Andreu and Knowles both trained with the main group on Thursday, while Taggart looked to be moving well while completing some solo work.
With the benefit of a blank weekend coming up, all three may come into selection contention ahead of the rearranged Round 20 trip to Wellington on February 17th.
Time check
On the subject of the Wellington game, please note that the kick off time at Westpac Stadium on Saturday 17th February will be 2.35pm WST.
Glory have lost just one of their last seven trips across the Tasman.
Sam’s stellar year continues
It’s shaping up to be yet another remarkable week for Sam Kerr.
Glory’s Westfield W-League skipper has already claimed the Golden Boot having scored 13 times in nine regular-season appearances and is in contention to take out the 2017 RAC WA Sports Star Award.
The winner of that honour will be unveiled at a ceremony to be held at Optus Stadium on Thursday evening and if you want to attend what promises to be a glittering event, tickets are still available HERE.
The Blues are coming!
The date of Glory’s prestige friendly against English Premier League giants Chelsea is due to be confirmed later this week.
