Midfielder Tevere added to Glory ALM squad

Perth Glory is delighted to confirm that central midfielder Luca Tevere has signed for the club for the remainder of the current Isuzu UTE A-League campaign.

After spending several years in the Melbourne City Academy, Tevere emerged as one of the standout performers in the Victoria NPL, playing a key role in helping Avondale FC take out the 2025 Premiership title.

He also scored four goals in the Australia Cup last year before starring in the Australian Championship and then completing a move to Preston Lions.

The 23-year-old is now determined to take the next step in his career and establish himself at A-League level.

“I’ve been waiting for an opportunity like this for a while, so it means the world to me,” he said.

“I can’t wait to get on the training track and prove to everyone why I deserve to be here.

“I’ve been watching a few Glory games and the style of football that [Head Coach] Adam Griffiths likes to play is really attractive and I think it suits my own playing style.

“Any contribution I can make to help the team get into the top six and make Finals will increase my chances of a longer-term deal and I’ll be very happy with that.”

Glory Football Director Stan Lazaridis is confident that Tevere is well equipped to make an impact at the club.

“Luca is someone we’ve been tracking for a while and we’re really pleased to have brought him in,” he said.

“He plays mainly as a number eight, but is versatile and has a great engine.

“He’s also technically gifted, has an eye for goal and is really hungry in terms of making the most of this opportunity.

“With more than 100 NPL appearances under his belt, Luca’s not short of experience either and we’re looking forward to seeing him provide another quality option in central midfield.”

Tevere has been allocated the #18 shirt.
